Speaking of Permission Request in Document...

This option allows common users to request additional permission – in addition to read permission – to files or folders posted in document browsing.

For folders, the information contained in the screen which appears when positioning the mouse on them are the author and the date of creation. For files, it shows the author, version, date of creation, and size.

The window with the document access permission request (files or folders) shows all the users who have permission and can authorize the access. It doesn’t show groups or roles. If a group or role has full permission to the document, all users belonging to it are shown.

You can access the user profiles shown by clicking their names on the permission request window.

If there is no common user with full permission for the document it will show users who are platform administrators.

It is possible to select up to five (5) users to send the access permission request. All users selected to send the request receive a warning in the notification central containing the requesting user and the document (file or folder) for which the permission was requested.

Subsequently, to find out whether the permission has been granted or not, the requesting user should access the document and check if they can perform the desired actions on it.

Request permission

01. After clicking on the option Request additional permissions, located in the table shown when you hover the mouse over the name of the folder or document, select the user in the display window to whom the permission request will be sent.

You can select up to five (5) users to send the document access permission request.

02. Click Confirm.

After clicking Confirm, a notification is issued for the selected user to evaluate the request sent. The user can grant the permission for the requester by using the action button in the notification.
