Metrological Confirmation

It evaluates whether the tool can be applied in the process to which it is related to through the evaluation and comparison of the mistakes found during calibration facing the maximum errors that are tolerable in the process.

The metrological confirmation is made up of three criteria:

Correctness Criteria

If there is tool accuracy in tool register. It validates the register found before accuracy or tool tolerance.

Otherwise:

where:

E: tool Accuracy (attributed in tools register)

db: Calibration Mean Deviation

TR: Standard Tolerance/Family (attributed in Families register)

VR: Standard Tolerance/Family (attributed in Standard register)

: Reading Average

Acceptability Criteria

Acceptability criteria verifies if register sum and uncertainties found in tool calibration are, at least, 25% inferior to maximum tolerance of process, to which the tool is applied, adopting a trust level that, normally, is among 3 and 10.

Acceptability criteria is represented by the following algebraic formula, conforming defined in parameter MV_QCALINC:

or, conform Metrology Environment installation type, is also represented by the following quadratic formula, as MV_QCALIN parameter:

If parameter MV_DESQUAD has Y (Yes) content, acceptability criteria does not calculate the square of medium register:

where:

db: Calibration Mean Deviation

II: Tool Uncertainty

IR: Standard Uncertainty

RR: Repeatability and Reproducibility Index

: Evaluation Process

Capacity required by the measurement (attributed in the Tools Register)

X: Process Reducer (3 to 10)

tool Accuracy (attributed in tools register)

Adequacy to Use Criteria

Acceptability criteria evaluates whether the sum of deviation and uncertainties found in tool calibration are, at least, 25% inferior to maximum tolerance of process, to which the tool is applied, adopting a trust level that, normally, is among 3 and 10.

The representation of the adequacy criterion algebraic formula is expressed as follows, according to parameter MV_QCALINC:

or, conform Metrology Environment installation type, is also represented by the following quadratic formula, as parameter: MV_QCALINC:

If parameter MV_DESQUAD has Y (Yes) content, use adequacy criteria does not calculate the square of mean deviation:
