Entities

Before using the tool, you must previously get to know the main entities and terms which are part of SGI.

Scorecard: It represents a group of indicators to be analyzed in the same panel. It can be compared to a department or a cost center. For every scorecard, there is a responsible.
Indicator: It is the measurement to be analyzed. It always has realized values and goal values.
Indicator Group: It is a set of indicators that have something in common, specially as to formulas.
Projects: It is a group of actions aiming to reach a given goal inside the scorecard to which they are connected. There may be several projects inside a scorecard.
Action Plans of Indicators: They are actions planned or created for a specific cause, always to reach the goal defined for the indicator.
Metaformula: Some indicators have formulas to calculate their realized and goal value. However, several indicators can use the same formula section. To not repeat such section in the new formula, just create a metaformula containing this section. It can be used in any other formula.
Target Date: It is the date when values will be analyzed, according to the frequency of indicators.
Dates of Accumulated Value: These dates correspond to the period you want to analyze the accumulated value of both realized and goal value.
Trend: It indicates whether the realized value is better, worse or stabilized in relation to the last measurement.
Scorecarding: It is the panel of indicators which enables the follow up of key indicator performance.
