Performance

This program aim at the complete assessment of Environmental Aspects and Impacts and be aware of the relevance of the Impact (decision making process on the possible hypothesis in a study), make an action plan, describe notes regarding assessment, make relevant simulations.

The company must establish and have procedures to identify and have access to legislation and other requirements it agrees to and are applicable to environmental processes of its activities, products and services. This comprehends normal operation conditions, abnormal (start and stop operations) and environmental risks for situations that have already happened, present and future situations of the company activities.

After establishing environmental aspects, those aspects that may provoke important impacts in environment are identified and you can determine the purposes and environmental goals within business planning.

To determine aspects resulting from important impacts, the Internal Environmental Assessment (CIAVA) is established to survey assessment criteria. These body is formed by:

quality management
environmental management
engineer expert in processes
security engineer
occupational physician
production management
maintenance engineer
instrument engineer
inter expert in environmental assessment*

Tip:

An external expert in environmental assessment is advisable. This expert is selected at Escola de Engenharia Química da Universidade Federal or an specialized consultant hired to provide services specifically for this assessment according to the coordination of the management integrated system (CSIG).

The routine has five statuses, as follows: Approved without Plan of Action, Approved without Emergency Plan, Approved without Plan of Action and Emergency Plan, Partially Responded and Approved. The status is defined according to the significance field, which receives the definition of classes.

In the Aspect, Impact and Location folders, you can characterize (answer criterion without weight) and assess (answer criteria with weight) the criteria. The characterization criteria can have several assessment answers and the assessment criteria can have only one assessment answer. Characterizations are displayed with the weight field of the localization criterion.

Upon activating Calculate, the system regards the formula and aspect answers, in case the aspect has weight and the impact answers.

You can use the Revision field to link to which revision the assessment (performance) belongs.

Procedures

To add an Assessment:

1. On maintenance window Assessments, click Add.

The add window will be displayed.

2. On folder Aspect - Add, check the aspect specified in organizational structure.

For each characteristic assessed, you have to inform the option answer.

3. On Characteristic, place the cursor on the characteristic assessed and in Options, check the assessed option.
4. By adding aspect, the system will display all the organizational structure.
5. From this structure, you have to identify aspects/impacts and inform its indicators. They can be:

Identification:

Meaning

there is no aspect

there is aspect

this aspect is under assessment.

6. Double-click process/local until the necessary indication is marked.
7. Click Impact. In this process, the user must inform the assessment and inform the answer option for each one of them.
8. After establishing aspect and impact assessment characteristic, click Calculate to know the assessment result and have the Important assessment (the calculation is based on formula and on the classes).

Depending on the assessment result, a mitigating measure on this environmental impact may occur by means of an action plan. For example, by using 5W 2H model.

9. If there is any action plan previously registered, it can be selected in this process.
10. If there is any document related to this process, observe Impact Demand because it has to be added by this option.
11. Click the Location folder. In this process you must enter the location criteria, characterization criteria (weight = zero). You may select more than one assessment answer. Weight criteria can have only one assessment.
12. The folder Emergence Plan relates emergence plan and environmental performance.
13. You can use Add to include notes of assessments.
14. Copy enables the real copy of the plan to make an analysis.
15.  Approve enables you to finish the assessment. After finishing, you can not change the folder Aspect and Impact.
16. To identify Performance, a signal in green was created to identify the approved ones and a signal in yellow to identify the performances partially answered according to Caption.
17. Check the data and confirm them.
