Import TXT Management
The system offers through this TXT file configuration management, used in the Inflow Imports. Such functionality purports to ease configuration layout management, used in the TXT data import process, for the inflow Inspection Environment.
The fields displayed on the TXT Import Management Screen belong to the QEP table used for integration with the Inflow Inspection environment. You can choose any field available on this table for use in the integration process. In case it is necessary to create a specific field, it must be created directly in QEP and QEK tables (inflows), with the same name and characteristics in both tables. After creating field, it will be available for selection in the TXT Import Management. |
Procedures
To configure the TXT file import layout:
| 1. | In the TXT Import Management maintenance window, select desired fields to compose file layout. |
Notice that in the window's lower left hand corner, the system displays the Save As: field. This field suggests the IMPORT.IMP name for the file that saves the configuration. If you wish to save the file with another name, jut enter it in this field.
In case you wish to replace an existing file, input the same name of the file to be replaced and select the Wish To Replace Existing File option. Thus the system saves the performed configuration with the name you have entered, replacing the existing file. |
| 2. | Check data and confirm saving procedure. |
The MV_QTXTIMP parameter saves the standard file name for use in import routines, thus, it is possible to save the desired configuration, and enter the file name saved in this parameter, for the system to use this standard configuration. However, for manually performed imports you may use other configuration files. You can keep a number of text files for use as the need arises. |
