Control Charts

Control Charts are tools to detect process variation and they contribute to obtain statistical control.

Procedures

Generating a Control Chart:

1.	In the generation window of Control Charts, fill out the parameters displayed according to field help instructions. However, to make simulations of points to be viewed in Control Chart, note how the following parameters are filled out:

•	From Operation?/To Operation?

Enter the interval of codes of the POs to be considered when Control Chart is generated.

•	From Laboratory?/To Laboratory?

Enter the interval of laboratory code to consider the inflows inspected by them when Control Chart is generated.

•	LIE Limit Value?/LSE Limit Value?

Enter limit values of lower and higher control respectively. The entry of these values do not consider those ones defined in product specification.

2.	Confirm parameters.

A new screen is displayed to select tests.

3.	Select the test you want until the check box of OK column is filled out.

To select all tests, click the top of the column of check boxes.

4.	After selecting tests, click Choose Control Chart to select the type of chart from the options XBR and XBS.

5.	Enter Sample Size field, following the maximum limit of 10 samples.

The number suggested corresponds to the type of chart previously selected.

For Individual Charts, this field is not considered.

6.	After configuring chart data, confirm them.

A new screen is displayed, indicating data generated, that is, the code (s) of test (s) and the description (s) of file (s) that is (are) generated to store the chart, each one in the respective column.

Select the test you want and confirm it.

7.	At this moment, the required files are selected by the system, then, the chart generated for Control Chart is displayed on the screen.

8.	To view the coordinates that generated chart lines, place the cursor on the points to make the system display the respective values in a small window.

Once entered the new information in Control Charts, the variables Cg and Cgk are included in Control Chart and the layout of existing information is changed.
