Identifies a better option among multiple alternatives for the solution of a problem based on the  information available, considering the possibilities, limits and risks of each one.

Characteristics:

Adopts the analytical focus before complexes situations.
Is able to evaluate alternatives critically, taking the organization into account as a whole.
Is read to take responsibilities for his/her decisions.
Offers solid recommendations.

Positive Indicators:

Makes decisions based on good role knowledge.
Is able to make decisions under pressure (little time, unknown variables, risk).
Adopts analytical focus for complexes problems.
Is able to analyze information and understand its implications for the company (for example, financial).
Seizes opportunities in the right moment to make decisions.
Works well with concepts, working in \"grey areas\" of complexes situations.
Uses his/her intuition besides rational judgment.

Negative Indicators:

Prefers to give responsibility for others to make decisions (colleagues, supervisors).
Is excessively careful, becoming slow to make recommendations.
Is hostile to risk.
Tends to base in the past, on the experience, without using the conceptual thought to solve problems and draw his/her own conclusions.
Works as from symptoms, instead of focusing on the cause of the problems.
Sees things only in black and white.
