Parameters

Microsiga Protheus® uses in its routines standardized or specific configurations called parameters.

Parameter is a variable that acts as a key element when certain processing is run. According to its content, different results can be obtained.

All variables begin with the MV_ prefix, and act upon various system operations.

The Drawback module uses several parameters, and some of them are common to other modules of the system. If these parameters are changed, the new content is considered for the other modules. Some parameters are merely generic configurations, such as: configuration of peripherals (printers), opening dates, currency nomenclatures, etc.

Important:

Parameters started by numbers (after the prefix MV_) must be queried in the cell #.
