Import
Importing a metadata to a data warehouse previously created:
1. In the option Import in the menu Tools, select the metadata file to be imported.
2. Click Send.
SIGADW generates the whole structure of entities presented in the metadata. From this moment, just define new data sources according to the bases to be accessed.
Do not make an import overlapping a data warehouse that already has dimensions, cubes, and queries created. |
SIGADW, together with Scheduler of the System, enables you to schedule import and export. This resource can be configured by using different servers for SIGADW and Scheduler of the System, without configuring SIGADW environments in the file of configuration of the Server that runs Scheduler. With this change, routines scheduled are only run in SIGADW server.
Implementation procedures
1. In server configuration file, in which Scheduler is being run, add in the General session the key DWSERVER, that must have the IP of the server in which SIGADW is being run.
2. If there is some scheduling before the change, in the menu Main, Scheduling, click Synchronize SIGADW with Protheus scheduling service\".
Procedures of Use
1. Configure SIGADW and Scheduler in different Servers. However, they must share the same rootpath.
2. Schedule an import or export in SIGADW.
3. Result: The routine scheduled is run in the origin Server.
