Configuration Wizard

In Configurator module, system administrator must make the configurations necessary to provide all users with queries that exist in the System. Thus, you must access Configurator module and run configuration wizard, entering data of connection, dimensions, and cubes for import, as well as data sources for each company/branch selected and queries to be provided.

These configurations are important so that users can query Native DW Indicators, and Management Panel is enabled in the module if you want.

Accessing Configurator

1. By accessing SIGACFG (Configurator) – Environment – Native Indicators – Configuration Wizard.

2. Click Next.

On the next screen, server and port that the wizard is accessing are showed to the system administrator. These fields are only informative. On the same screen, the administrator must enter the environment that is used to import data in DW.

3. Click Next.

On the next screen, a list for selection is displayed with all existing companies and branches. In sigamat.emp, these companies and branches selected are used to create new data sources in each dimension and cube.

4. Click Next.

On the following screen, the administrator must select the queries that were provided and that must be imported to DW.

5. Click Next.

On the following two screens, the summary of all data entered on previous screens is displayed, such as: data origin, companies and branches selected, queries selected, as well as dimensions, cubes, and the respective data sources that are imported.

6. Click Next.

By clicking Save Summary, you must enter file name and the directory where you want to save it.

On this screen, the creation of a XML file is started, containing all data previously entered. This file is imported to DW and it has the following information.

Connection: It has information about server, port, and environment entered by the administrator.

Dimensions and Cubes: All dimensions and cubes available for import, as well as data sources for each company and branch selected. Data sources are of dimensions as well as of cubes and they are created with name + company + branch.

Queries: All queries selected by the administrator.

After creating the file, the option Next is enabled. Click Next to go to the next screen.

On the next screen, the administrator must enter SIGADW URL and DW name. This information is saved in the parameters MV_DWURL and MV_DWNAME for each company/branch selected.

8. Click Next.

9. On this screen, the administrator has the option to download the file generated for future import in SIGADW or import it directly without logging in DW.

10. To download, the administrator must select the option File Download and click Next.

A screen is displayed to enter file name and the directory where you want to save it:

If you prefer to import the file, the administrator must enter the user and password for access to DW. To import it, Wizard uses URL and DW previously entered.

11. Click Next to start the import.

By finishing download or import, a screen is displayed with the option to start SIGADW. The administrator must choose the option wanted and click Finish. If the option is to start, SIGADW opens the browser with login page of SIGADW and finishes wizard. The browser to be opened is entered in the parameter MV_WFTIBRW and the directory must be in Windows path. If the option is not to start SIGADW, wizard is finished.
