Attributes
Define the attributes (characteristics) of the dimension. There are two possibilities: Import information directly from a table, or define attributes one by one manually.
Import
1. Click Import.
2. Choose the connection in which the table you want is presented.
3. According to the type of connection chosen, confirm the parameters. To speed up the choice of table, enter the field Table Alias, for example, SA1.
4. Click Send.
5. Then, select the table you want and the fields to be displayed.
6. To search for a certain field, enter the name in the field Contain. Then, choose the table fields that become dimension attributes.
7. Click Next. If necessary, make some changes in the description, or size of the fields.
8. Click Finish.
If you are using relational tables that were not created by the System, note that, in the structure import, only fields whose type is recognized by TOTVS | DbAccess are retrieved. In case of fields that are not compatible with TOTVS | DbAccess, they must be manually created as attributes. |
Defining Manually
1. If you want to define attributes one by one, click New for each attribute and enter:
• | Name: Attribute name. |
• | Description: Attribute description. This description is displayed for the user. |
• | Type: Define the type of attribute. |
• | Size: Define the size of attribute. |
• | Decimals: If the type is numeric, enter the number of decimals. |
• | Mask: Enter the mask. AdvPL Standard. |
2.Click Send.
You can change/delete attributes at any time, you just need to choose the attribute you want and perform the operation you want. Note that until this moment only attributes were defined, not existing any relation to any data source.
3. After defining all attributes, click Next to go to primary key definition.
