The Contract Types are:

A. For as long as the job/task lasts

It is widely used in the Construction and Oil industries due to the need to describe in detail the job as the contract's purpose.

The salary for this type of contract may be fixed, variable or per task. In general, it is used for the replacement of employees on leave by temporary workers.

B. Fixed Term

This contract is entered into in writing, for a maximum duration of 3 (three) years. It may:

Be entered into for a duration of less than 1 (one) year, without minimum duration;
Be entered into for a fixed term of between 1 (one) and 3 (three) years, being infinitely renewable.

Contract termination follows some rules:

If the contract's term is more than 30 (thirty) days, prior notice of 30 (thirty) days is required. Otherwise, the contract is renewed for an equal duration to what was initially agreed.
If the contract's term is less than 1 (one) year, it may only be extended up to 3 (three) times and for periods equal to or shorter than the term initially agreed. This condition may be disregarded in the case of prior notice, as long as the termination established termination time is communicated.

Important:

From the predicted termination date of a fixed term contract (which is informed by the user), the System generates a report to indicate when the contract will expire. Therefore, the company is able to fulfill its obligation of noticing the employee 30 (thirty) days before. Besides, the control of renewal periods is done via the history function.

C. Determined Duration

This contract is entered in writing or verbally and the parties determine its duration.
