A.F.I.
A.F.I. - Lower Tolerance, it is based on nominal value. Nominal subtracted from Lower Tolerance indicates the Specification Lower Limit (L.I.E.), to be printed in Control Plan and controlled by the system.
This field cannot be filled out if the Nominal field is not entered.
So that the value of lower limit is lower than the nominal value, you must use a minus sign, according to the example below:
• | Nominal Value = 6 |
• | Lower Tolerance (A.F.I.) = -2 |
• | Higher Tolerance (A.F.S.) = 4 |
Therefore, the limits are:
• | Lower Limit = 4 |
• | Nominal = 6 |
• | Higher Limit = 10 |
