Control of Days Worked in February

February is considered to have 30 worked days. Thus, if the employee has been absent for 25 days, 5 days are going to be accounted for.

However, February has 28 days (or 29 days in leap years) and, by using the MV_MAAFAS parameter, you can set the maximum number of allowed days on leave.

Thus, if the number of absences of a given employee exceeds the number defined in parameter, the report considers 28 or 29 worked days (calendar days), and not 30 worked days (default).

Example:

MV_MAXAFAS = 24

Absences in February = 25

Accounted worked days = 3 days, or 4 days in for leap years.

Thus, when calculating Payroll:

If the number of absent days of the employee is less than or equal to the number established by the parameter, the days of absence are deducted from 30 days (system default).
If the number of absent days is greater than the number of days established by the parameter, they are deducted from the regular calendar February days, that is, 28 days (or 29 for leap years).
