Product Grid Interface
The grid resource speeds up registration of products that vary in just some aspects, keeping their main characteristic.
Hence, you do not need to register the same product several times just because the product has a range of different characteristics, that is, you need only register the main product and all its variables, such as: color, model, etc. It enables Protheus to generate automatically all registrations of variable products.
To use the resource Product Grid, you must configure the parameter MV_GRADE= T, activating this way the use of the product grid. |
Use of the resource Product Grid in the Purchase Request
| • | Select Purchase Request and add a purchase request for the grid reference product. |
| • | In the field Product, by adding the product family, a window is displayed to select the characteristics. By pressing [F3], information registered in the Product Configurator are displayed. The characteristic selected is added to the product family, composing the grid reference product. |
| • | Add the amounts concerning the possible combinations for this product by placing the cursor on the field Amount and pressing [ENTER]. |
| • | After adding the amounts, the system returns to the screen Purchase Request - Add, displaying the sum of all product grid cells in the field Amount. |
| • | Add dates of requirement. |
The grid resource in the purchase request process enables the several product grid items to create only one Purchase Request when the Purchase Request of grid reference products is generated.
