Passwords are used to restrict access to the system routines. This control is carried out through the relationship between password and option menu used by the user.
It is very important to define passwords in the Shop Control Environment. After defining them, the user is allowed to carry out sales operations because he is recognized as a cashier and has his own access code.
The configuration of passwords must be used to restrict the access to system routines, direct the saving of reports to disk, configure specific printing drivers for a user/group, define concepts of competence/purchase approval, workflow management, etc.
When an environment is accessed and the password is entered, the system automatically loads the defined menu and all access configuration related to this password.
We suggest that only the administrator have access to the maintenance of passwords to ensure good performance of the System.
If enabled, the user is allowed to change his own password inside the system. For this, he must click Passwords in the Miscellaneous menu in any Microsiga Protheus® Environment.
Microsiga Protheus® allows to group users to facilitate the assignment of rights and restrictions.
