Microsiga Protheus® configures the System Administrator Password as "  " (blank) in advance for the initial system access. This way, the System Administrator is responsible for changing his own password and attribute passwords to other users by establishing which operations and environments they can access.

The Administrator password can only be changed through the Configurator Module.

Through his password, the user may (or may not) register the daily exchange rates when he first accesses the system.

Procedures

To change the Administrator Password:

1. In the Password Maintenance window, click on the administrator's name, then click Edit.
2. A window is displayed to define the administrator properties.

• Password - Enter the new Administrator password.
• Confirm password - To confirm the password, type again the password entered in the previous field.
• Password Minimum Size - Enter the password minimum size to be typed.
• Number of errors - Enter the maximum number of access errors allowed with the administrator's password.
• Use username to validate password - Check this alternative so that validation may be performed.
• Block User - Check this alternative to block the user.
• Save last “ ” passwords - Enter the number of passwords to be saved for the administrator.
• Notify Expiry of Password __ days in advance - This field determines the time in advance so that a warning message is displayed to the user about the expiry of his password.
• Enter number of days the user can rewind and advance database - Enter number of days the user can rewind/advance system date.
• Validate letters and numbers in password - Mark this option to require the usage of letter and numbers in the password.
• Enable Single Sign On - Mark this option to enable the use of Single Sign On to the system.

3. Click on the Occupational Relationship folder. In this folder, the administrator can restrict the access of employees to the system, according to their status in the payroll.

Besides enabling monitoring of payroll status, the administrator must set the link between the user and an employee registered through the HR environments (Employees Tables - SRA). This must be done during the configuration of password for each user, Occupational Relationship folder.

The following statuses can have restricted access:

• Normal Status
• On Temporary Leave
• Dismissed
• Vacations
• Transferred

4. Check the payroll statuses that must have their access disabled.

When this treatment is enabled, if a user with a monitored payroll status tries to access a Microsiga Protheus® environment, a warning message will be displayed and the system, closed.

5. Click the Online Panels folder. In this folder, the administrator must select the online panels to be used in the panel server, configured through the TOTVS Application Server (TOTVS Wizard) Configuration.

• In the Modules area, you can define the panels to be updated per environment.
• In the Online Panels area, you can define which panel is to be updated for the environment selected.
• Once the panel is selected in the Online Panels area, click Parameters to configure the parameters used in the panel update.

6. Click the Offline Panels folder. In it, the administrator must select the offline panels to be made available to the user.

• In the Offline Panels area, you can select the offline panels to be made available to users.

7. Check and confirm the entry.
