The grid resource speeds up registration of products that vary in just some aspects, keeping their main characteristic.

Hence, you do not need to register the same product several times just because the product has a range of different characteristics, that is, you need only register the main product and all its variables, such as: color, model, etc. It enables Protheus to generate automatically all registrations of variable products.

Items of grid reference products, generated by the quotation, will be grouped only when the unit price in the quotation is the same. It happens to preserve the calculations of taxes of the items of grid reference products.

Use of the resource Product Grid in the Purchase Order

• Select the option Purchase Order and add a purchase order.
• In the Product field, a window is displayed to select the characteristics. By pressing [F3], information registered in the Product Configurator are displayed. Add the product amounts.
• Then, the purchase order item is returned, displaying the field Amount with the sum of all cells included, through the window Purchase Order - Amount.
• Add the delivery date of grid reference products by placing the cursor on the field Delivery Date. By pressing [ENTER], a window is displayed to add the delivery date.

The grid resource in the purchase order process enables the several product grid items to create only one Purchase Order when the Purchase Order of grid reference products is generated.
