The grid resource speeds up registration of products that vary in just some aspects, keeping their main characteristic.

Hence, you do not need to register the same product several times just because the product has a range of different characteristics, that is, you need only register the main product and all its variables, such as: color, model, etc. It enables Protheus to generate automatically all registrations of variable products.

Use of the resource Product Grid in Partnership Contracts

• Select the option Partnership Contracts and add a partnership contract.
• In the field Product, a window with the product family is displayed to select the characteristics. By pressing [F3], information registered in the Product Configurator are displayed. The characteristic is added to the product family, composing the grid reference product.
• Add the amounts concerning the possible combinations for this product by placing the cursor on the field Amount. By pressing [ENTER], a window is displayed to add the amounts.
• Add the initial date of Partnership Contract of grid reference products by placing the cursor on the field Initial Date. By pressing [ENTER], a window is displayed to add the initial date of Partnership Contract.
• Add the final date of Partnership Contract of grid reference products by placing the cursor on the field Final Date. By pressing [ENTER], a window is displayed to add the final date of Partnership Contract.

The grid resource in the partnership contract process enables the several product grid items to create only one Partnership Contract when the Partnership Contract of grid reference products is generated.
