The grid resource speeds up registration of products that vary in just some aspects, keeping their main characteristic.
Hence, you do not need to register the same product several times just because the product has a range of different characteristics, that is, you need only register the main product and all its variables, such as: color, model, etc. It enables Protheus to generate automatically all registrations of variable products.

Use of the resource Product Grid in the Inbound Document
- Select Inbound Document and add an inbound document.
- In the Product field, a window with the product family is displayed to select the characteristics. By pressing [F3], information registered in the Product Configurator are displayed.
- Then, the window Interface for Product Grid is displayed.
- Select Amount, Unit Price, and Second Unit of Measurement to enter their respective data because the inbound document requires the specification of each item.
- By closing the window Interface for Product Grid, after adding data, all items whose amounts were entered are generated. The amounts not entered do not generate items in the Inbound Document.
- You can only add a new grid reference product if the cursor is on a new item of the inbound document.
