There are different hypotheses that put this sale mode into practice. As an example, we can mention:

• When the buyer orders the manufacture of equipment and requires the documents issued by the seller to obtain finance.
• For payment in advance of any good to be acquired.
• When the buyer requires the documents issued by the seller for financing obtainment purposes or the letter of credit for export.

In the hypothesis of an advanced billing, the goods are not delivered simultaneously and the invoice can be issued at the same time.

The future sale consists of the generation of two invoices:

• Sales Invoice

Note that, when generating this invoice, the inventory must not be updated, as the product will be dispatched later on; however, trade bills receivable must be generated and the corresponding taxes calculated. When finishing the issue of this document, the system will request the TIO to generate automatically a new order and from this, the Packing Slip attached to the goods will be generated. This TIO must update inventory and must not generate a trade bill.

• Packing Slip (attached to the goods).

When issuing this document, the inventory must be updated.

Procedures

Registering a sales order in this category:

• The order must be configured to generate FUTURE DELIVERY, ii.e. configured in the field to generate (C5_DOCGER).
• The Types of Inflow and Outflow - TIO used for each order item, must have the following configurations:
  • Generate trade bill.
  • Do not update inventory.
