02. DESCRIPTION
This parameter defines whether to allow the correction of accounting entries, even in periods in which, usually, this correction is not authorized. The operation of this parameter is related to the flexibility in the handling of accounting data and the management of accounting periods.
Functionality:
- Parameter contents:
- S (Yes): Indicate the correction can be made, even in periods in which the correction is not usually allowed. This offers greater freedom to adjust accounting records, even in periods regarded as closed or not editable.
- N (No): Indicate the correction is not allowed in closed periods. You can only make corrections in open periods, ensuring greater accounting data integrity and security.
Interaction with Other Parameters:
- Use this parameter along with MV_VALCORR, which determines whether to apply correction validation. The combination of these parameters offers a refined control of accounting correction operations, allowing the system to meet the specific needs of each company regarding the management of accounting data.
Applications:
- In environments that require agile corrections to, for example, meet audits or unexpected adjustments, it may be advantageous to set this parameter to "T".
- On the other hand, setting it to "F" may help maintain the compliance and integrity of accounting records, avoiding undesired changes to data already closed.
